Research opportunities: join the NanoESC Lab at ICN2 in Barcelona!
We welcome expressions of interest from motivated candidates interested in PhD, postdoctoral, and visiting researcher opportunities in electrochemistry, nanoscience, materials engineering, and sustainable energy technologies. NanoESC Lab offers an international and interdisciplinary research environment, access to state-of-the-art facilities for in situ and operando characterization, strong international collaborations, and support for fellowships and career development.
Candidates with strong backgrounds in single-crystal electrochemistry, in situ vibrational spectroscopy, and in situ scanning probe microscopy are particularly encouraged to contact us.
Application: CV and cover letter (max. 1 page). Please contact Prof. María Escudero-Escribano. Due to the high volume of inquiries, we are only able to respond to candidates whose background and research interests closely align with our research directions and available opportunities.
Opportunities
Postdoctoral positions
Apply for a postdoctoral position in our group! We seek talented and creative electrochemists interested in combining electrochemical methods, advanced materials engineering, and in situ vibrational spectroscopy/scanning probe microscopy for renewable energy conversion to produce sustainable fuels and chemicals. We currently have a couple of postdoctoral positions available within our ERC Consolidator Project “ATOMISTIC” on electrochemical methane activation and conversion:
Looking for a postdoctoral researcher with expertise in electrochemical scanning tunnelling microscopy. Interested? Please contact Prof. Escudero Escribano.
FELLOWSHIPS:
Beatriu de Pinós Fellowships: 3-year fellowship for senior postdoctoral researchers with a minimum of 2 years of postdoctoral experience outside Spain.
Ph.D. positions
Apply for a Ph.D. position in our group! Are you passionate about electrochemistry and advanced materials for the green transition and would like to carry out your Ph.D. in our group to investigate electrocatalyst nanomaterials to produce renewable fuels and chemicals? Apply for a doctoral grant in our group:
