María Escudero receives the “María Teresa Toral” National Research Award

Prof. María Escudero-Escribano has been honoured with the “María Teresa Toral Award” for Young Researchers in the field of chemical science and technology at the 2024 Spanish National Research Awards. The official ceremony took place in the Palacio Real de El Pardo in Madrid on 3 July, presided over by H.M. King Felipe VI and attended by the Minister of Science, Innovation and Universities, Diana Morant. Prof. Escudero-Escribano was recognised for her pioneering research in electrochemical processes and the atomic-level design of advanced materials, which provide scientific and technological solutions to convert renewable electricity into green fuels such as hydrogen and sustainable liquid fuels for aviation and maritime transport.
